This Data and Privacy Policy explains how Intercity Trucker Logistics (“Intercity”, “we”, “us”) collects, uses, shares, and protects personal data when you use TruckScanner in Mainland Tanzania.
This Policy applies to all users and visitors of TruckScanner and to data collected through the app, website, customer support channels, and related services.
Identity & Contact: Name, phone number, email, NIDA evidence.
Driver & Compliance: Licences, vehicle registration, company details.
Booking Data: Load details, chats, documents, approvals.
Location: Real-time GPS, trip progress, timestamps.
Device Data: IP address, OS version, analytics logs.
We do not sell personal data. Data may be shared with booking counterparties, service providers, escrow partner (NBC), or authorities when legally required.
Tracking and proxy communications are used for safety, visibility, and dispute resolution. Misuse is prohibited.
Data is retained only as long as necessary, ranging from 90 days (raw GPS logs) up to 7 years (booking and escrow records).
You may request access or correction of your personal data by contacting us.
We apply access control, encryption, monitoring, and document minimization to protect data.
If data is processed outside Tanzania, appropriate safeguards are applied.
TruckScanner is not intended for children.
